About East Coast Railway

The East Coast Railway is one of the 18 railway zones of Indian Railways. It came into existence on 1 April 2003. As the name suggests, most of the railway routes of the zone are near the east coast of India. The headquarters of the zone are at Bhubaneswar.

The geographical jurisdiction of East Coast Railway zone extends over two states encompassing almost all of Odisha and Bastar, Mahasamund and Dantewada districts of Chhattisgarh. The zonal headquarters is at Bhubaneswar in Odisha.

    Jr.Clerk-cum Typist

    12th (+2 stage) or its equivaent with not less than 50% makrs in the aggregate.50% marks is not to be insisted upon in case SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disability/Ex-Servicemen and candidates who possess qualifications higher than 12th (+2 stage). Typing proficient in English/Hindi on Computer is essential.

    Tech-III(Welder)

    Matriculation with either National Trade Certificate(NTC) or National Apprenticeship Certificate(NAC)issued by National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) in the trade of Welder/welder(Gas and Electric) Gas Cutter/Structural Welder/Welder(Pipe)/Welder(TIG/MIG)

    Tech-III(Carpenter)

    Matriculation with either National Trade Certificate(NTC) or National Apprenticeship certificate(NAC) issued by National
    Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) in the trade of carpenter/Furnitute and Cabinet Marker

    Tech-III (Fitter)

    Matriculation with either National Trade Certificate (NTC) or National Apprenticeship Certificate(NAC)issued by National Council of Vacational Training (NCVT) in the trade of Fitter.

     Tech - III (Electrical Power) & Technician - III(Electrical TRD)

    Matriculation with either National Trade Certificate (NTC) or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC)issued by National Council of Vocational Training(NCVT) in the trade of Electrical/Wireman /MechanicalHT,LT Equipments and Cable Jointing/Electronics Mechanic.

    Tech-III (Fitter)

    Matriculation with either National Trade Certificate(NT) or National Apprenticeship Certificate
    (NAC) issued by National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) in the trade of Fitter
    Tech-III(Track Machine)

    Matriculation with either National Trade Certificate(NTC) or National Apprenticeship Certificate(NAC) issuedby National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) in the trade of Fitter/Electrician/Electronic Mechanic/ Instrument Mechanic/Mechanic Mechatronis/Mechanic Diesel/Mechanic Motor Vehicle/Welder/Machinist.
    Tech-III (Signal)

    i) Matriculation with either National Trade Certificate(NTC) or National Apprenticeship Certificate(NAC) issuedby National Counsil of Vocation Training(NCVT) in the trades of Electrician/Wireman/Electronic Mechanic OR ii) 10+2 with physics and Maths.
    Tech-III(Painter)

    Matriculation with either National Trade Certificate(NTC) or National Apprenticeship Certificate(NAC) issued by National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) in the trade of Paiter General/Domestic Painter/Industrial Painter
